• Give a clear picture of the timescale of the Action and an explicit estimate of the total duration of the Action, preferably in the first paragraph. (This estimate will be quoted in the Memorandum proper and will determine the period for which the MoU enters into force.)

• Bear in mind that the normal duration of a COST Action is normally four years, unless there are specific cases to be approved by the CSO, on the basis of a justification provided in the proposal.

• Use relative time scales (Year 1, Year 2, etc) rather than specific years.

The duration of the Action will be 4 years.

The Action will begin with a kick-off meeting at which the MC will be elected. The MC will appoint co-ordinators of the WGs, and the website manager and STSM manager.

There will be an annual workshop for all participants in the Action: years 1, 2, 3, 4.

There will be two training schools, combined with the workshops in years 2 and 4.

There will be an annual meeting of the MC, and annual meetings of the WGs, combined with the annual workshops. The format of a WG/MC meeting will be half a day for the WGs to meet for discussion and for a business meeting, and half a day for the MC meeting (including the co-ordinators of the WGs).
